The focus is on understanding balances, reconciling accounts, and resolving issues properly rather than repetitive outbound chasing. You’ll need a solid accounting mindset and the ability to work through complex account positions at pace.

Credit Controller – Responsibilities:
*Managing a high-volume portfolio of accounts within a financial services environment
*Reviewing balances, reconciling accounts, and identifying root causes of overdue debt
*Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and account queries
*Working closely with internal finance and operational teams
*Agreeing payment arrangements where appropriate
*Maintaining accurate records and producing aged debt reporting
*Supporting month-end processes and maintaining strong financial controls
Credit Controller – Ideal Candidate:
*Proven experience in high-volume credit control
*Strong accounting and reconciliation skills
*Ability to analyse account activity rather than rely on repetitive chasing
*Confident communicator with a professional approach
*Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Good Excel and finance system skills
