Accounts Assistant – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting February/March 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and play a key role in the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee processing of Sales and Purchase invoices
*Assist with credit control and purchase ledger payments
*Collate data for reports and monthly analysis
*Process and pay employee personal expenses
*Process, log, and check monthly credit card receipts and statements
*Monitor fixed costs reporting
*Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
*Raise and allocate Purchase Orders
Requirements:
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance environment
*Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices
*Discretion when handling confidential information
*Knowledge of Xero (advantageous, not essential)
Skills:
*Strong communication and numerical ability
*Excellent attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple priorities
*Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
*Assertive, adaptable, and strong problem-solving skills
