Business Development Manager - Road Freight Logistics
Location: Office based in Birmingham with regular travel across the Midlands
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 base (negotiable depending on experience) + strong commission structure
Are you an experienced sales professional with a solid background in road freight or logistics? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, dynamic logistics business that specialises in freight, multi-modal transport and supply chain solutions across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business growth across road freight and logistics services within the Midlands region.

* Proactively generate, qualify and close new sales opportunities with shippers, 3PLs and commercial clients.

* Leverage existing contact networks within road freight to hit the ground running.

* Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key decision-makers.

* Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.

* Attend industry events and client meetings; travel regularly across the region.

* Report on pipeline activity, forecasts and sales performance.

What We’re Looking For
* Proven business development or sales experience in road freight / logistics (UK focus).

* Existing contacts and network within the freight/logistics ecosystem is highly desirable.

* Comfortable working both from the Birmingham office and out meeting clients on the road.

* Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.

* Target-driven with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
