Cost Accountant
50-60K
Central London (9 month Contract) (Hybrid Working)
My client is a global advertising company and are looking for a Cost Accountant on a 9 month contract.
Duties Include:
*Transform fragmented payroll and HR data into a live, strategic compass. In forecast accurately and analyse real-time fluctuations is critical to our agency’s agility.
*Manage and track personnel costs for 1,000+ FTEs across 7 European markets, ensuring visibility and understanding of key PC ratios and forecasting, reporting to senior Commercial Finance and Operational staff
*Harvest and reconcile high volumes of data from disparate sources (ERP systems, local payroll providers, HRIS, and timesheet software).
*Maintain accuracy and integrity of the employee time sheet management system
*Develop and maintain automated dashboards that provide "live" visibility into staff costs, recovery rates, and utilization.
*Forecasting & Variance
*Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for personnel spend. You’ll be expected to explain the "why" behind variances between actuals and budgets immediately.
*Translate complex data sets into concise, actionable insights for the CFO and Department Heads to support hiring decisions and resource allocation. Continuously refine data collection methods to reduce manual entry and increase the speed of reporting in a rapidly changing environment
Requirements:
*4+ years in Personnel Accounting, FP&A, or Payroll Finance, preferably within an agency or consulting firm
*Advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot) is a must. Experience with BI Tools/Power BI/Tableau
*Fluent in English; ability to explain financial technicalities to non-finance stakeholders.
