Corporate Membership Officer
*Location: East London, UK
*Salary: £34,274
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Join a leading international network of professionals as a Corporate Membership Officer. This role is crucial for managing and growing relationships with corporate and university members, driving new partnerships, and enhancing our global profile. If you thrive in dynamic environments and have a proven track record in B2B sales and account management.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Act as the dedicated account manager for a portfolio of over 400 corporate and university members.
*Deliver expert advice, support, and engagement to maximise member value throughout the membership cycle, from prospecting to onboarding and renewal.
*Drive growth by identifying and securing new members, sponsors, and revenue opportunities, owning and reporting on a personal sales pipeline.
*Promote the organisation by developing a network of influential contacts within political, economic, social, and industry sector communities.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders including membership engagement, marketing, and IT teams to deliver the corporate membership strategy.
*Manage member queries and administrative processes, ensuring a seamless client journey from prospecting to onboarding and retention.
*Represent the organisation at events both within the UK and internationally to promote membership and build commercial relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Persuasive communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
*Proven success in B2B new-business sales and account retention.
*Experienced in engaging senior business leaders and managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
*Professional CRM experience, ideally with Salesforce.
*Respect for cultural differences and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders across different time zones.
*Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.
*3+ years’ work experience in sales and account management, preferably within a membership body or charity organisation.
