The Preparatory Year Programme is a pre-requisite for all university studies and students are expected to study and pass English (EFL/ESL) related courses to allow for further academic development.
Role:
*Teaching load - 22hrs per week
*Teach English to undergraduate students
*The program consists of four levels: pre-beginner, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, corresponding to CEFR levels A0- high B1.
Requirements:
*MA TESOL (or related subject such as Applied Linguistics, English Language Arts etc)
*At least 5 years of Higher Education ESOL teaching experience
*3+ years of teaching experience within the Middle East
*Experience teaching ESL/EFL at university level within preparatory bridge programs/foundation programs
*Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty across disciplines
*Familiar with technology, i.e. Moodle, Blackboard, Banner etc
