We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This is a great opportunity to join a stable site with modern machinery and a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
The Role As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability through effective planned and reactive maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on production machinery

* Working on pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

* Supporting PPM schedules and responding to breakdowns efficiently

* Assisting with machinery installations and improvement projects

* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

* Working closely with electrical engineers and production teams

The Ideal Candidate * Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment

* Strong mechanical fault-finding skills

* Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship) preferred
