Job Title: Tutor - Roofing (Sheeting/Cladding) Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Location: Devon (in person)
Pay Rate: £35.50 per hour
Pension: Additional 28% employer pension contribution
Overview A further education provider is seeking part-time Roofing Associate Tutor to teach apprentices in roofing sheeting/cladding. This role suits an experienced roofer who wants to pass on trade skills. Teaching qualifications are not required, and training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities * Deliver practical and classroom-based training to roofing apprentices
* Teach sheeting/cladding installation
* Assess learner progress and provide feedback
* Create teaching resources and lesson materials
* Support learners as part of a construction delivery team
Essential Requirements * Industry experience in roofing (sheeting/cladding and/or slating/tiling)
* Confident using roofing tools and equipment
* Good communication skills and ability to explain processes clearly
* Organised, reliable, and approachable
* Flexible and willing to support wider team activity
Benefits * £35.50 per teaching hour (includes market supplement)
* Employer pension contribution of 28%
* Training and support towards a teaching qualification

* Potential additional payment up to £5,000 (subject to eligibility, if new to FE teaching)
