We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in Swindon, Wiltshire. You’ll be responsible for machine setting, carrying out regular inspections, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and pneumatic issues—keeping production seamlessly flowing. Responsibilities: *Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues early
*Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment running at peak performance
*Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures swiftly and efficiently
*Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades
*Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and improve machine reliability
*Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and operational procedures
Who will fit in well: *Solid experience in Mechanical Engineering and maintenance practices
*Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
*Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, and automation systems is a plus
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
*Ready to work day shifts from 6am to 6pm on a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off basis
