Warehouse Operative
Our client is seeking a very dedicated efficient Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic team and ever changing company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Responsibilities:
*Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
*Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
*Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations (in house only).
*Maintain an organised stock area, ensuring that items are stored correctly and easily accessible.
*Utilise a Warehouse Management System for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements.
*Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
*Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are reported promptly.
*Occasionally required to deliver stock and inventory to teams over the UK.
Qualifications:
*Previous experience in a warehouse setting is required.
*Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
*Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
*Familiarity with picking and packing processes is beneficial.
*Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is desirable; relevant certifications are a plus.
*Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a must.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
