Job Description:
Finance Business Partner - Newcastle
Nigel Wright are partnering with a large, well-established organisation in the North East to appoint a Finance Business Partner into a high-profile, strategic finance function.
This is a genuinely commercial partnering role, suited to someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and helping shape the financial direction of a complex organisation.

The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide proactive, forward-looking financial insight to a defined portfolio of services. You’ll support planning, budgeting and forecasting, challenge assumptions, and help leaders understand the financial implications of their decisions.
Key elements of the role include:
*Acting as a trusted advisor to senior non-finance stakeholders, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insight
*Leading on budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning activity
*Supporting business cases, scenario modelling and investment decisions
*Interpreting key performance drivers and helping stakeholders prioritise activity and manage resources effectively
*Providing commercial challenge and constructive support in a cost-constrained environment
*Working closely with wider finance teams (including management accounts, commercial and procurement) in a matrix structure
*Contributing to cross-functional projects and wider organisational initiatives

About You
This role would suit someone who is confident operating in a complex environment and enjoys influencing at senior level.
You’re likely to bring:
*Strong business partnering experience, with the credibility to advise and challenge non-finance leaders
*A commercial mindset and the ability to balance support with appropriate challenge
*Excellent communication skills, able to present financial information clearly and persuasively
*Strong analytical capability, including scenario modelling and interpreting financial drivers
*Resilience and confidence when working under pressure and managing competing priorities
*Experience working in a large or complex organisation (sector background is open)
Formal qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Candidates who are part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong commercial judgement, are very much encouraged to apply.

Why Apply?
*A high-impact role where finance is central to decision-making
*Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategically important projects
*A supportive, flexible working culture with strong benefits and hybrid working
*Opportunity to shape and influence how finance partners the business
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into – or further develop – a true Finance Business Partnering role, where influence, judgement and stakeholder engagement matter as much as technical capability.
