Job Description:
Are you highly organised, confident with administration, and looking for a rewarding part-time role? Reed is recruiting for a Part-Time Administrator to join a governance team, supporting Local Governing Committees across multiple schools.
This role would suit someone who has experience supporting senior leaders, boards, or committees, or someone with strong administrative skills who is keen to learn more about governance. Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential.
Salary: £25,600 – £29,411 per annum (FTE). Actual: £13,837 – £15,897 depending on experience
About the Role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring governance processes run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently. The role involves supporting meetings, preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with governor recruitment and training.
The position is 20 hours per week, all year round. Most meetings take place during the day, but you will be required to attend around four evening meetings per term. Some home working may be possible with agreement.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide administrative support for Local Governing Committee meetings
*Prepare agendas, minutes, action logs, and supporting paperwork
*Maintain accurate records of governor membership and compliance
*Assist with governor recruitment, induction, and training
*Help ensure governance information on websites meets statutory requirements
*Attend meetings across multiple schools within the Trust
What We’re Looking For
*Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills
*Ability to work with confidential information sensitively and professionally
*Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
*Experience in governance or board administration is desirable but not essential
*Willingness to learn governance processes and legislation
Location
The role is based in Swindon, with travel required to schools within the Trust. Some home working may be agreed.
