Job Title: Production Planner
Location: Sheffield
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Planner to strengthen their operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven and highly organised planner to play a key role in aligning production schedules with customer demand, materials availability, and operational capacity.
The Role As Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery while maximising efficiency and resource utilisation. You will act as a central link between production, supply chain, procurement, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities * Create and maintain detailed production schedules across multiple product lines
* Balance demand forecasts with production capacity and material availability
* Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely material flow
* Monitor production progress and adjust plans to manage delays or disruptions
* Analyse planning data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
* Work closely with shop floor teams to ensure schedules are achievable and realistic
* Support inventory optimisation and reduce excess or obsolete stock
* Communicate planning updates clearly across stakeholders
About You * Proven experience in a Production Planner / Production Scheduler / Materials Planner role within manufacturing
* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Strong Excel and data analysis capability
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
* APICS / Supply Chain / Operations qualifications (desirable but not essential)
