Location: Leeds
Salary: c£50,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a leading UK organisation within the infrastructure and services sector to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager.
Reporting into the Head of Payroll, this is a senior, hands-on role focused on supporting the delivery of payroll across multiple entities. You will play a key role in guiding, supporting, and stepping in for the wider payroll team when required. Strong technical payroll expertise and confidence operating in a complex environment are essential.

As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
*Supporting the end-to-end delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple entities, providing hands-on cover where required
*Ensuring payroll compliance, statutory reporting, and contributing to continuous process improvement
*Analysing FPS submissions and reconciling payroll data back to HMRC
*Applying IR35 legislation and supporting status determinations
*Acting as a technical point of escalation for Payroll Seniors and Advisors
*Working closely with the Head of Payroll, HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure payroll accuracy and deadlines are met
*Supporting payroll integrations, system developments, and wider business change initiatives
Key skills & experience:
*Proven experience working across multiple payrolls within complex organisations
*Strong technical payroll knowledge with the confidence to support and advise others
*Experience operating in a senior payroll role, ideally within a shared service or multi-entity environment
*Confidence working across multiple payroll systems (IRIS Cascade experience highly desirable)
*Experience managing salary sacrifice and taxable benefit schemes
*Exposure to HRIS system implementations (desirable)
*CIPP Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum
