Elevation Recruitment Group’s Skilled Shop Floor Team is delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business near Wakefield We are currently supporting the business in their search for a skilled Print Machine Operator to join their team.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.15am- 4.55pm
Salary: Competitive
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Safely operate machinery whilst ensuring that products are manufactured in accordance with Customer requirements and quality standards
*Identify and correct product quality issues
*Record production data that ensures full product traceability
*Ensure that all duties are undertaken in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures
*Deliver achievement of the production plan by ensuring material yield and machine availability is optimised
*Ensure that a safe work environment exists by adhering to the company health and safety and environment policies and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation
Role Requirements:
*Previous experience of setting and operating printing machinery
*Ensuring the consistent production of high-quality printed products whilst maintaining Quality and optimising Press speeds
*Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity to make sure efficient day to day running of the flexographic printing press
*Ensure that press speeds are optimised, maximising uptime and minimising downtime. Continually checking on safe and efficient operation
*Pro-active approach so the print machine always runs smoothly; observe the process and spot any issues that may arise, assess, evaluate root cause and use problem-solving skills to correct and rectify
*A good understanding of colour and colour mixes
*Able to understand and follow clear work instructions
*Effective communication skills, both verbal & written
*Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict delivery deadlines
*Ability to work as a team as well as on own initiative and contribute to the continuous improvement activities
*Ability to read product drawings
*Ability to perform effectively in a volume manufacturing industry environment
*Capable and multi-skilled with a ’can do’ attitude and willingness to support the business
