Job Description:
TRANSPORT PLANNER, £29,000. Initial Office Base, Remote once Established
We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning transportation activities to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services.
Experience Needed: 1 years minimum in a logistics administrator role.
Responsibilities: The main responsibilities within the role are:
Allocation of work to couriers in a fair and transparent manner.
Taking bookings accurately and advising clients of our services.
Implementing and maintaining Service Level Agreements.
Proactively keeping clients and fellow employees informed of any delays or issues.
Ensure your fleet size is sufficient to service your clients particularly during peak periods - maintain levels and recruit drivers when required.
Monitoring of jobs through to POD and completion.
Ensure drivers achieve maximum revenue.
Seek backloads for drivers. Responsible for particular accounts.
The key skills we need you to have for the role include:
Managing and exceeding customer expectations.
Ability to communicate clearly with clients, couriers and suppliers and always remain professional.
Be highly organised.
Previous controlling experience.
Good geographical knowledge.
Excellent punctuality and attendance
Previous transport industry experience.
Acting on your own initiative without constant supervision.
Computer literate. Excellent punctuality and attendance.
Hours will be between 8am & 5pm Monday to Friday
