Job Description:
We’re recruiting for an Estimator to join a fast-paced, growing commercial flooring business in Bristol.
This is a key role within the commercial team, ideal for a highly organised, detail-driven professional who enjoys working with drawings, pricing projects, and contributing directly to business growth.
Working closely with Commercial, Sales and Procurement teams, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive flooring quotations that support strong conversion rates while protecting margins.
The RoleAs Estimator, you will:
*Quantify commercial flooring works from drawings and specifications
*Prepare detailed, accurate and competitive tenders and quotations
*Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
*Interpret architectural and construction drawings specific to flooring scopes
*Assess and price variations quickly and accurately
*Liaise with clients and main contractors to clarify project requirements
*Research and analyse material, labour, plant and equipment costs
*Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes
*Support pricing strategy by reviewing win rates and post-project costs
*Identify project risks at tender stage and flag appropriately
*Support bid submissions, pre-construction planning and budgeting
What We’re Looking For*Experience using Callidus or similar flooring take-off software
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital tender portals
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
*Ability to manage workload independently in a deadline-driven environment
*Confident communicator with a professional, personable approach
*Proactive, flexible mindset with a strong team ethic
