Senior Accounts Assistant – Finance & Accounting Job in Worcester (Hybrid) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join a busy Property Services Finance team based in Worcester. This hybrid role offers a balance of home and office working and is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in transactional accounting.

As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the reconciliation of maintenance and compliance accounts, ensuring income and expenditure are accurately recorded and reported. You will also assist with month-end processes and financial reporting.

This role would suit candidates with experience in transactional finance, management accounts support, account reconciliation, and journal preparation.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Accounts Assistant *Reconcile maintenance and compliance accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
*Review invoice documentation and process large volumes of financial data
*Process material trade card expenditure
*Support the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
*Prepare and post journals including recodes, prepayments and accruals
*Assist with month-end accounting processes
*Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
*Provide effective financial administration support
*Identify process improvements within finance operations
Skills & Experience Required *AAT part-qualified or fully qualified (or equivalent) desirable
*Proven experience in a similar accounts assistant, finance assistant, or transactional finance role
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills including use of formulas, data analysis, and large datasets
*Experience supporting month-end processes and preparing journals
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*Experience using SAP (desirable)
