Job Description:
Our client based in Hoddesdon is a well-established professional services business seeking an experienced Administration & Accounts Office Manager to support the running of the office. This is a hands-on role combining administration, accounts support and front-of-house duties, requiring strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
This is a full-time permanent role working 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, although our client would also consider a 4-day working week for the right candidate. The salary on offer for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. Candidates must be highly organised, flexible, adaptable and a team player who is willing to assist in all aspects of the company administration.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments
*Organising internal and external meetings, including preparation of paperwork
*Drafting and formatting fee letters and business correspondence
*Typing correspondence and supporting professional staff with administrative tasks
*Acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors
*Meeting and greeting clients and ensuring a professional front-of-house presence
*Managing office emails and general enquiries
*Raising invoices and maintaining the sales ledger
*Processing VAT and carrying out account reconciliations
*Using Sage for day-to-day accounts and invoicing tasks
*Liaising with external accountants where required
*Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
*Supporting the smooth running of the office and assisting with general administration as needed
Skills and Experience Required
*Proven experience in an administration or office management role
*Accounts/ basic bookkeeping experience
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Sage experience (desirable)
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Experience with accounts duties including invoicing, VAT and reconciliations
*Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
*Professional, approachable and well-presented
