Locations: Birmingham, Bristol or Cardiff (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Annual Bonus
The Opportunity
We are seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our Energy, Water and Resources portfolio, supporting the delivery of high-impact projects that benefit society, industry and the environment.
You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams on a diverse range of schemes, including:
*Water and wastewater treatment and supply
*Dams, reservoirs and flood risk infrastructure
*Renewable energy and low-carbon systems
*Hydrogen production and energy storage
*Industrial process and complex pipework systems
You’ll be encouraged to develop specialist skills in the areas that genuinely interest you, shaping a career path aligned with your passions and strengths.
Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in the water sector, operating at a senior level with 5+ years’ industry experience.
Key skills and experience include:
*Proven experience delivering mechanical design within water, energy or industrial environments
*Strong understanding of mechanical equipment selection and application
*Experience across feasibility and detailed design, particularly in water and energy systems
*Solid knowledge of piping design standards, safety systems and industrial pipework
*Competence in relevant design tools and software (e.g. BIM, Plant 3D, AutoPIPE or similar)
*Experience in utility infrastructure (e.g. gas networks) is beneficial
*Chartered status (or working towards) through IMechE or a relevant professional body
