Sales Coordinator
Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour
Location: Wolverhampton WV5 location.
Employment Type: Full-time temporary on going
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week.
Overview
The sales coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both the inside sales function and field-based teams across UK and export markets. This position is responsible for managing administrative duties, handling customer enquiries, preparing and negotiating maintenance quotes, and ensuring smooth communication across internal teams and external stakeholders. With a strong focus on accuracy, customer service, and efficient operations, the Sales Coordinator helps drive the overall effectiveness of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Quote & Estimating Management
*Create and process quotes for preventative maintenance contracts, including new agreements and renewals.
*Support price and terms negotiation to facilitate contract closure.
*Prepare costings and estimates for nurse call and/or fire alarm project quotations.
Sales & Administrative Support
*Manage and qualify incoming customer opportunities.
*Prepare sales reports and documentation as required.
*Respond to customer enquiries efficiently and professionally.
Export & Logistics Coordination
*Manage UK and international sales enquiries, ensuring compliance with export regulations and trade documentation.
*Coordinate domestic and international shipping, including containers, transport arrangements, invoices, and shipping quotes.
*Conduct research on customs rules, tariffs, origins, and export procedures.
Customer Communication & Aftersales
*Act as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
*Handle aftersales queries, warranty replacements, and all shipping-related issues.
Order Processing & Payment Management
*Track the progress of orders and shipments through to completion.
*Manage customer payments, issue statements, and follow up on overdue accounts.
CRM & Opportunity Management
*Maintain and update CRM records with accurate customer and project information.
*Monitor and progress live opportunities, ensuring leads are nurtured and escalated to account managers as required.
Internal Collaboration & Sales Activities
*Liaise closely with logistics, sales teams, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
*Attend internal sales and export meetings to track order statuses and provide updates.
*Conduct outbound prospecting calls to NHS, private healthcare, and custodial sectors to qualify leads and arrange appointments for account managers.
*Support the Internal Sales Manager and Head of Sales with administrative tasks, data analysis, presentations, and reporting.
Skills & Experience Required
*Experience in sales administration, inside sales, or sales support roles.
*Strong knowledge of logistics, shipping processes, Incoterms, and export documentation.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*High attention to detail and accuracy in managing orders and documents.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
*Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
