Tutor Needed - 1:1 Support for Year 6 Learner (EBSA) | DT6 Area | Urgent Start

Prospero Teaching is searching for a compassionate, dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support a Year 6 pupil experiencing EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance). This role is based within a school setting, offering the chance to make a genuine impact on a young person’s confidence, learning and wellbeing.

�? What You’ll Be Doing As a Prospero Tutor, you will:
*?? Plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions tailored to the learner’s needs.
*?? Assess and monitor progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
*?? Record student progress and provide clear weekly reports.
*?? Build a trusting relationship by showing empathy, understanding and consistency.
*?? Record attendance accurately.
*�? Bring creativity, adaptability and organisation to every session.
*?? Maintain a calm, fair and patient approach at all times.
?? About You We’re looking for someone who is:
*?? Experienced working with young people in UK schools (minimum 1 year - essential)
*?? Confident delivering Maths and English at primary level
*?? Calm, reliable, empathetic and resilient
*?? Skilled at building rapport and inspiring learners
*?? Experienced with SEN/SEMH learners (desirable, not essential)
*?? Understanding of EBSA or alternative provision approaches
? Role Details *Position: 1:1 Tutor
*Start: ASAP
*Location: DT6 area
*Hours: ~10 per week (mornings Mon-Fri)
*Further hours: Opportunities to take on additional students
*Contract: Term-time only, ongoing
?? Essential Requirements To be considered, you must:

*??? Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
*?? Provide professional references
*?? Have up-to-date safeguarding training (or be willing to complete it)
