An established and rapidly growing organisation in Knaresborough is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. About the RoleReporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering high quality financial reporting and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation and review of monthly management information
*Month-end accounting, including journals and profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations
*Preparation and review of VAT returns and ensuring compliance
*Group cash reporting to internal stakeholders
*Identifying and implementing process improvements and financial controls
*Supporting external tax advisers with corporation tax returns
*Managing and developing accounting system policies and procedures
*Supporting statutory accounts preparation and the audit process
*Undertaking other reasonable duties in line with the role
Education and Experience*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant
*Ideally a first mover from an accountancy firm looking to move into industry or someone already in a similar role
*Strong technical accounting knowledge
*Experience working within a group structure is desirable
