Description
*Develop and deliver detailed design specifications to support manufacturing processes.
*Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all technical and project requirements.
*Evaluate and optimise existing designs to improve functionality, reliability, and efficiency.
*Conduct prototype testing and validation to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
*Produce clear technical documentation and reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
*Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to production teams during build and troubleshooting.
*Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices within industrial and manufacturing engineering.
*Ensure all design activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Profile
A successful Design Engineer should have:
*A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
*Proficiency in CAD software and associated engineering tools.
*Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacture principles.
*Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and collaborative team environments.
*Background in electronics design and/or electronics manufacturing.
*Proven experience within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
*Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Job Offer
*Competitive salary £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
