Assistant Fund Accountant – Borough Green

About the role
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Fund Accountant looking to build a long-term career in accounting. This is a hands-on, developmental role offering exposure to fund and corporate accounting, with structured training and a clear pathway to becoming a Fund Accountant.
Working closely with the Fund Controller / Financial Controller, this full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, on a temp-to-permanent or permanent basis, with a 3-month probation.

What we are looking for
This role is ideal for someone with accounts experience who is keen to learn, progress and develop their career.

Key duties include:

*Payment drafting and bank/ledger reconciliations
*Monitoring fund agreements and deadlines
*Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers and cashbooks
*Assisting with management accounts, audits and annual reports
*Supporting tax and VAT returns
*General finance support and ad hoc duties
The ideal candidate will have:
*At least 1 year’s experience in an accounts-based role
*A strong interest in accounting as a career
*Excellent attention to detail and organisation
*Confidence working to deadlines
*Good Excel and Word skills
*A driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
*Fund accounting or fund administration experience
*Studying or planning to study AAT, CIMA or ACCA
