Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen, working for a well-established head office in Hartlepool, to support a successful and growing business.
Working part-time 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday (9am - 4pm), permanent as a Payroll Administrator. Your main duties will include:
*Accurately collate and prepare monthly payroll data for all employees, ensuring timely submission to the Group Payroll team.
*Manage all payroll inputs including starters and leavers, overtime, holidays, average holiday pay, bonuses, deductions, benefits in kind, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.).
*Calculate and apply statutory, contractual, and company-specific entitlements including holiday pay, sick pay, bonuses, expense claims, overtime averages, and allowances.
*Ensure all deductions and adjustments are processed accurately and in line with legislation.
*Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll and HR-related queries, providing clear and timely guidance.
*Manage and action items across two shared inboxes, ensuring smooth and responsive communication.
*Ensure full compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, auto-enrolment pension rules, and internal company policies.
*Keep up to date with changes in employment and payroll law, implementing updates to processes and documentation swiftly.
*Maintain accurate employee information within Sage, ensuring all personal, contractual, and banking details are correct and compliant with GDPR and data-protection regulations.
*Oversee full employee lifecycle administration including contracts, onboarding paperwork, right-to-work checks, leaver documentation (P45/P60), and changes to terms and conditions.
*Manage and administer employee benefits, processing all benefits-related changes through payroll.
To be eligible for this role you must have proven experience working within Payroll and with strong working knowledge of UK employment and payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and data protection (GDPR) requirements, with a commitment to maintaining full compliance. Experience of Sage Payroll will also be beneficial.
