UK/US Tax Manager
London | Permanent | Hybrid working
A well-established and highly regarded accountancy and tax practice is looking to recruit a UK/US Tax Manager to join its specialist international tax team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dual-handling tax professional to work with a high-quality, internationally mobile client base in a collaborative and people-focused environment.
The role
You will manage a portfolio of UK/US private clients, providing a blend of compliance and advisory services. Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues, you’ll take responsibility for complex tax matters affecting US citizens, UK residents, and internationally mobile individuals, while helping to develop client relationships and identify advisory opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing UK and US tax compliance for a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals and internationally mobile taxpayers
*Advising on UK/US cross-border tax matters, residency, domicile, and foreign tax credits
*Reviewing UK and US tax returns and related filings
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and practical advice
*Supporting Partners on advisory projects and technical research
*Mentoring and supporting junior team members
About you
You will be an experienced tax professional with strong UK/US tax knowledge and a background in private client or international tax. You’ll be comfortable managing your own client portfolio and handling complex cross-border issues, with strong communication and organisational skills.
You are likely to have:
*Relevant professional qualification(s) (CTA, ATT, EA or equivalent)
*Proven experience in UK/US private client tax
*Strong technical knowledge of cross-border personal taxation
*A proactive, client-focused approach
