Neighbourhood Night Caretaker
Location: Leatherhead
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 19:00 – 07:00 | 3 days on / 3 days off
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Neighbourhood Night Caretaker to provide a visible overnight presence and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environment. This role is key to supporting residents during night hours, responding to incidents, and ensuring communal areas are well presented.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for residents overnight, delivering a friendly and professional service.
Maintain a visible presence on site to support safety and security.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in line with procedures, including Fire Marshal duties.
Carry out regular inspections of communal areas and report any safety, maintenance, or cleanliness issues.
Complete routine cleaning of communal spaces to a high standard, including entrances, corridors, lifts, and shared areas.
Support basic maintenance tasks where appropriate and escalate issues to the daytime team.
Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly, following COSHH guidelines.
About You
Experience working in a residential, facilities, caretaking, or customer-facing environment.
Strong customer service skills with a calm, professional approach.
Comfortable working independently during night shifts.
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
Basic maintenance knowledge and experience using commercial cleaning equipment are desirable
