Meeting & Events Sales Manager

Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Cluster Director of Sales, you will be responsible for maximising sales potential and achieving meeting and event revenue targets. This is a key role within the commercial team and offers a great platform to develop your career in sales and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
*Review function sheets with the Executive at the start of each week
*Perform daily checks on PMs to ensure accuracy and completeness
*Morning catch-up with the Executive to review the diary, appointments and required preparation
*Assist with quotation management when needed
*Prepare and circulate weekend handover emails with daily sheets
*Conduct weekly spot checks on the Executive’s bookings for accuracy
*Attend the weekly Operations meeting
*Monitor the Events inbox daily before the team arrives; review enquiries and quotes; continue checking throughout the day for updates
Principal Accountabilities
Team Leadership
*Lead by example with a positive, supportive and visible presence
*Foster a training culture to enhance team engagement and efficiency
*Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and company HR policies
*Maintain a personal development plan aligned with leadership goals
*Actively recognise and reward excellent performance and teamwork
Operational Support
*Provide support to the Director of Sales & Marketing, including cover during absence
*Assist with weekly sales and marketing reporting and forecasting
*Contribute proactively to overall hotel management
*Maintain strong financial controls and support managers with KPI understanding
*Ensure compliance with internal procedures and escalate issues when necessary
*Attend and contribute to relevant daily, weekly and monthly meetings
*Maintain clear and open communication at all times

What You Will Need
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Meeting & Events Sales Manager role
*Experience using Opera PMS is advantageous but not essential
*Hospitality industry experience desirable
*Strong customer service background
*Excellent command of the English language
*Ability to identify and act on revenue opportunities
*Strong selling, negotiation and interpersonal skills
