Senior Construction Trading Underwriter - Top Quartile Salary

We are working with a specialist MGA that is extending its construction underwriting proposition from London into the regional market. They are now looking to appoint a Senior Construction Trading Underwriter to help establish and grow this capability in the North.

This role offers the opportunity to be one of the first regional construction hires and play a key role in shaping how the class is traded locally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and trade construction risks across a broad spectrum of project types
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular face-to-face trading
- Act as a visible market presence for the construction proposition
- Develop a profitable, sustainable book of business
- Work closely with capacity providers and internal stakeholders
- Support the longer-term growth of a regional construction team

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a construction trading underwriter
- Strong broker relationships and market reputation
- Track record of writing larger, complex construction risks
- Comfortable operating with delegated authority within an MGA
- Motivated by the opportunity to build and shape a regional proposition
