Bookkeeper – Music & Entertainment Clients
About the Firm
Our client is a well-established London-based firm of accountants specialising in the music, entertainment and creative industries. They work closely with artists, performers, producers, managers and creatives, offering a highly personalised, relationship-driven service.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of clients within the music and entertainment sector.
The Role
This is a client-facing bookkeeping role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day financial records for a varied portfolio of creative clients. You’ll work closely with accountants and managers to ensure accurate, timely information is delivered.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of music and entertainment clients
*Processing purchase and sales invoices
*Bank and credit card reconciliations
*Posting journals and maintaining accurate ledgers
*Preparing VAT returns
*Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries
*Supporting accountants with month-end and year-end preparation
*Using cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
The Ideal Candidate
*Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role
*Experience working in practice preferred
*Exposure to music, entertainment or creative clients is highly desirable
*Confident using cloud accounting software
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Comfortable dealing directly with clients
*A proactive, personable approach
