We are supporting a well-established charity based in vibrant Norwood, dedicated to delivering meaningful impact within the community. They are now seeking a committed Management Accountant / Finance Manager to join their friendly team and play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation’s financial health and sustainability.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-driven finance professional who enjoys variety and autonomy. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations as well as leading on budgeting, reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
*Lead on annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
*Manage cashflow, bank reconciliations, payroll journals and month-end processes
*Oversee financial controls, policies and procedures
*Support year-end preparation and liaise with external auditors
*Provide financial insight to non-finance stakeholders across the charity
*Line-manage and support junior finance staff (if applicable)
*Ensure compliance with charity finance regulations and good governance
About You
*Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience
*Experience within a charity or not-for-profit environment is highly beneficial
*Strong understanding of management accounting and financial analysis
*Confident using accounting software and Excel
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain finance clearly
*Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently
