Management Accountant
Location: Home Counties
Salary: £50,000+ (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established finance team within a large Further Education College based in the Home Counties. This is a key permanent role supporting financial planning, reporting, and compliance in a complex FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts
*Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning support
*Ensuring compliance with ESFA funding and reporting requirements
*Providing financial insight and support to senior leadership and budget holders
*Supporting audits and statutory returns
*Monitoring funding streams, variances, and performance against targets
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Previous Further Education experience essential, preferably within a college
*Strong knowledge of ESFA funding rules and submissions
*Excellent analytical and reporting skills
*Confident communicator able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
*Proactive, organised, and detail-focused
