Assistant Practice Accountant
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am – 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum DOE
Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Accountancy Practice in Hampshire.
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a friendly, collaborative team.
The role offers varied exposure across accounts, tax, and compliance, with the chance to take ownership of work and contribute to improving processes over time. This position would suit someone who is organised, detail-focused, and enjoys seeing work through from start to finish.

The role:
*Preparing accounts for a range of clients, including some incomplete records and bookkeeping
*Supporting tax and compliance work
*Communicating clearly and professionally with clients
*Managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines
*Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Ideal Candidate:
*Around 2 years’ experience in a similar role within practice (qualified, part-qualified, or QBE)
*Experience preparing client accounts essential.
*Experience working within a Practice environment is essential.
*Confident using accounting software and HMRC systems
*Well, organised with strong attention to detail
*A proactive, dependable approach with good initiative
*Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
