*Use de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed practice.
*Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours.

Safeguarding
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
*Report concerns promptly and appropriately.
Person Specification
Essential
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
*Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs or complex SEND.
*Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
*Ability to create engaging lessons that inspire reluctant learners.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable

What the School Offers

*Supportive and skilled multidisciplinary teams.
*Regular CPD and opportunities to specialise further in SEMH.
*A nurturing, therapeutic working environment focused on holistic development.
