Financial Accountant (Interim / Temporary)
Location:London College-based (Further Education)
Rate: £300 per day
Contract: Temporary / Interim
We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to support a Further Education College on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an experienced interim accountant with a strong understanding of FE finance and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparation of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
*Support month-end and year-end close processes
*Ensure compliance with FE sector regulations and funding requirements
*Assist with audits and liaison with external auditors
*Review and strengthen financial controls and processes
*Provide technical accounting support to the wider finance team
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Previous Further Education experience essential, preferably within a college environment
*Strong technical accounting knowledge
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, interim setting
*Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
