Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children’s home in Allerton. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home and ensuring high-quality, child-centred care for children with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs. You will provide strong leadership, maintain regulatory compliance, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee daily operations of the 3-bed children’s home and ensure high standards of care.
*Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Act, and relevant legislation.
*Lead, support, train, and supervise a team of residential care workers.
*Develop and manage individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
*Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all children.
*Conduct quality audits, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
*Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and local authorities.
*Manage budgets, staff rotas, resources, and operational planning.
Essential Requirements:
*Registered Manager status with Ofsted
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management or senior role within children’s residential care
*Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, the Children’s Act, and safeguarding procedures
*NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care
*Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Experience managing a small children’s home (ideally 3+ beds)
*Knowledge of behaviour management approaches and care planning
*Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed practice
