Family Support WorkerPermanent Role – Residential / Community Setting
Location: Hendon, North West London (NW4)
Salary: £12.50 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Shift-based, including weekends and bank holidays (24-hour rota)

The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for Family Support Workers to join a well-established family centre in Hendon. This role focuses on supporting parents and children in a residential or community setting, helping families to develop confidence, independence, and positive life skills.
You will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, supporting families to meet placement goals while ensuring children are safeguarded at all times.
Key Responsibilities*Supporting parents and children within residential and community settings
*Working collaboratively with professionals including Social Workers, Police, Legal Services, Education and Health
*Promoting positive parenting, nurturing skills, and appropriate behaviour
*Observing, recording, and monitoring parental interactions and providing feedback to senior staff
*Safeguarding children and maintaining a safe environment at all times
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of family progress
*Supporting families to attend appointments and facilitating contact with children and extended family
*Delivering parenting sessions and practical life-skills support
*Working shifts across a 24-hour rota, including weekends and bank holidays
*Contributing to reports, meetings, and care planning
*Undertaking domestic tasks where required (e.g. cooking and cleaning)

*Flexible and able to work shift patterns
Essential / Desirable Requirements*Experience working with vulnerable children and/or families (desirable – training provided)
*Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable; willingness to work towards considered)
*Full UK driving licence, business insurance, and access to a vehicle
*Eligibility to work in the UK
