Forecourt Assistant

To provide safe, friendly, and efficient service to customers on the forecourt and garage, ensuring fuel sales, site cleanliness, and customer satisfaction meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
*Serve customers politely and efficiently at tills and on the forecourt
*Monitor fuel pumps and authorise fuel sales
*Handle cash, card, and contactless payments accurately
*Maintain cleanliness of the forecourt, pumps, bins, and surrounding areas
*Replenish forecourt stock (screen wash, oil, AdBlue, etc.)
*Assist with tyre pressure, organise tyre changes with the garage team
*Wash vehicles to ensure they are clean and presentable
*Follow health & safety, fire, and fuel-handling procedures at all times
*Deal with spillages, alarms, and emergency situations appropriately
*Report suspicious activity, equipment faults, or safety hazards
Skills & Competencies:
*Strong customer service and communication skills
*Basic numeracy and cash-handling ability
*Ability to stay calm under pressure
*Good awareness of health & safety
*Reliable, punctual, and responsible
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience & Qualifications:
*No formal qualifications required (training provided)
*Previous retail or customer service experience desirable
*Willingness to complete fuel safety and age-restricted sales training
*Friendly and approachable
*Safety-conscious
*Honest and trustworthy
*Flexible and adaptable
