Job Description:
TPF Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist and well-established accountancy practice based in Tonbridge. Our client is a full-service accountancy firm supporting medical professionals, with offices in Kent and London, and they are now looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious individual who is keen to build a long-term career within accountancy. Personality, attitude, and a desire to learn are more important than existing qualifications or experience. If you’re numerate, motivated, and excited to develop your skills in a supportive environment, this role could be ideal for you.
The Role
You will work closely with and support a small, friendly team of accountants, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of responsibilities, including:
*Supporting a small team of accountants with day-to-day tasks
*Communicating with HMRC, clients, and other third parties
*Performing bank analyses and reconciliations
*Maintaining accurate client records, including setting up new records
*General office administration, including answering phones, generating invoices, scanning, and handling post
RequirementsAbout You
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
*Excellent communication skills
*Strong organisational skills
*Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
*A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
