Job Description:
Our client, a Greater Manchester Council, is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Lead and supervise social workers to ensure high-quality, strengths-based safeguarding practice.
*Oversee risk assessments, safety planning, and decision-making for children and families.
*Monitor performance, workloads, and compliance with statutory duties and local authority policies.
*Chair key meetings (e.g., strategy discussions, case reviews) and provide clear management direction.
*Support multi-agency partnership working, including with health, education, and police services.
*Use data and case audits to drive service improvement and maintain high standards of practice.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
