Transport Administrator
£13.00-£13.50 per hour | 9am-5pm | Fully Onsite
We’re recruiting a Transport Administrator on behalf of a leading global logistics and distribution business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in transport administration who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied, hands-on role.
Working onsite 9am-5pm, you’ll play a key part in keeping the transport operation running smoothly - managing essential system updates, supporting drivers, processing daily orders, and ensuring key compliance and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
The Role As a Transport Administrator, you’ll be responsible for a blend of transport coordination, data input, compliance tasks, and general administrative support. Key duties include:
*Handling SAP tasks such as removing orders from shipment and actioning reverse goods issues
*Producing daily order reports and maintaining distribution spreadsheets
*Managing customer service chat channels and coordinating driver WhatsApp communication
*Processing medical collection orders and logging failed deliveries
*Preparing and organising daily delivery runs
*Administering the driver resource planner and updating driver stewardship training records
*Supporting Vision updates, processing infringements, and assisting with Smartcheck vehicle defects
*Raising insurance claims and supporting wider transport functions as needed
*Providing transport cover including route planning, creating shipments, and issuing permits
You’ll work closely with drivers, planners, and operational teams to ensure accurate information flow and efficient day-to-day running.
What You’ll Need To succeed in this role, you must have:
*Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution administration role
*Knowledge of transport systems such as SAP, Vision, or Microlise (or similar)
*Strong organisational skills and accuracy with data
*Confident communication and the ability to work well under pressure
*A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting busy transport operations
What’s on Offer *£13.00-£13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
*Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
