Role Overview
As Finance Manager, you will oversee all internal financial operations and work closely with the board to support expansion. This is a hands-on role involving everything from financial reporting and cost accounting to developing business cases for overseas ventures.
Key Responsibilities
*Core Finance & Accounting: Oversee day-to-day operations supported by a part-qualified Financial Assistant; ensure accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting; manage payroll, VAT, and HMRC compliance; and lead monthly board-level reporting.
*Strategic & International Support: Develop financial models and investment cases for international startups or acquisitions; support due diligence on overseas partners; and create budgets aligned with strategic growth goals.
Requirements
* 3–5 years of experience in a similar finance role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or an industrial sector.
*Professional CIMA/ACCA qualification (or actively working towards one).
*Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel-based modeling.
Salary and Benefits
*Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per year (dependent on experience).
* Bonus: Annual profit share scheme (subject to company performance).
* Pension: 5% employer contribution.
* Holiday: 31 days (inclusive of 6 bank holidays) plus Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
*Additional: Life insurance (4x salary), EAP service, and free on-site parking.
Working Hours & Location
*40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
*This is an in-person role to ensure integration with the Senior Management team, though a maximum of one day per week working from home may be considered.
