Sales Ledger Billing Clerk
Location: Leeds

We’re currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Billing Clerk to join a busy and fast-paced finance team based in Leeds. This role will support the Sales Ledger Manager, ensuring all billing activity is completed accurately, on time, and in line with internal policies and procedures.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a structured, deadline-driven environment and wants to build on their experience within sales ledger and billing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review the daily invoice pipeline report, ensuring invoices are posted in line with billing deadlines
• Distribute invoices appropriately, including submission via client portals
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of client-specific invoicing requirements (e.g. PO numbers, references, supporting documentation)
• Complete compliance checks on all invoices, approving or rejecting transactions as required
• Manage shared billing mailboxes, responding to queries independently and collaboratively
• Support intercompany non-cash settlements, including reporting, ledger housekeeping, investigations, and responding to discrepancy queries
• Assist with month-end reporting and period close activities
• Manage group recharges and free-text invoice requests
• Provide credit control support outside of billing periods
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience:
• Experience working in a professional, busy, and demanding environment
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, accurate work
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data input
• Good working knowledge of Excel

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• High standard of numeracy with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to identify potential risks and escalate appropriately
• Experience of people management
• Confident keyboard skills and strong Excel capability
• A collaborative team player with a flexible and proactive approach
• Outgoing and confident, able to build strong working relationships across the business
• Self-motivated, goal-driven, and eager to learn
• Good standard of education
