Job Description:
Creative Arts SEN Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets | Daily Rate £105-£110Do you have a flair for art, drama, music or creative media and a passion for supporting young people with SEN? A progressive Secondary School in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Creative Arts SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity to weave creativity into SEN support, using visual arts, performance, storytelling and other creative tools to build confidence, communication and engagement in learners with additional needs.
ROLE DETAILS
*Creative Arts SEN Teaching Assistant - focusing on creative & practical learning
*Secondary school based in Tower Hamlets
*Day-to-day cover and short-term assignments, with potential for longer-term roles
*ASAP start
*Pay: £105 - £110 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
*Support pupils with SEN in lessons and intervention sessions, using creative strategies to remove barriers to learning
PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Graduate with a strong interest or background in the creative arts
*Passionate about inclusion and supporting pupils with a variety of SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
*Confident using creative approaches to build engagement, communication and emotional regulation
*Excellent interpersonal skills and a nurturing, patient approach
*Reflective, resilient and eager to learn from experienced SEN practitioners
*Team player who works well with teachers, therapists and support staff
SCHOOL DETAILS
*Inclusive secondary school with a focus on creativity, wellbeing and pupil voice
*Strong SEN department with a multi-disciplinary approach
*Access to specialist spaces such as art rooms, music suites and sensory areas
*Regular training on SEN, mental health and creative intervention strategies
*Supportive leadership team focused on staff wellbeing and development
*Located in Tower Hamlets with excellent links to Central and East London
