We’re supporting a respected and growing organisation in Coventry that’s looking for a confident and proactive Credit Controller to join their finance team. What You’ll Be Doing:
*Managing your own ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
*Building strong relationships with customers to resolve queries and encourage prompt payment
*Monitoring aged debt, identifying risks, and escalating issues where appropriate
*Allocating cash accurately and maintaining up-to-date account records
*Working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support smooth billing processes
*Preparing statements, chasing schedules, and supporting month-end reporting
*Assisting with credit checks, account setup, and ongoing customer account maintenance
*Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function
What We’re Looking For:
*2+ years’ experience in credit control
*Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practice
*Excellent communication skills with a confident, professional approach
*Highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working to deadlines
*Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and finance systems
*A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive conversations
*Someone who is positive, resilient, and committed to delivering great service
*CICM or AAT or similar qualifications are beneficial but not essential
