Bookkeeper
*Annual Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 for 24 hours per week
*Location: Tottenham, London
*Job Type: Part-time (flexible days and hours)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks for a property letting business based in Tottenham. This role offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the property sector while supporting our financial operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Financial Record Keeping
*Maintain and update financial records for rental properties.
*File invoices, receipts, and property-related financial documents.
*Record rental income and property expenses.
*Ensure data accuracy in accounting systems such as Excel and Sage 200.

*Accounts Payable (AP)
*Process supplier invoices (contractors, maintenance, utilities).
*Manage property maintenance and repair payments.
*Prepare payment runs for landlords and service providers.
*Reconcile supplier statements.
*Handle purchase orders for property-related services.

*Accounts Receivable (AR)
*Process rental income and deposit payments.
*Track tenant payments and rental arrears.
*Follow up on outstanding rent payments.
*Manage tenant deposit accounts.
*Prepare rental statements and notices.

*Payroll & Staff Administration
*Process monthly payroll for a small team.
*Manage employee records and timesheets.
*Calculate and process statutory payments (PAYE, NI, pension contributions).
*Prepare payslips and maintain payroll records.
*Liaise with HMRC regarding payroll matters.

*Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
*Reconcile bank statements with rental accounts.
*Manage multiple client and property accounts.
*Check for discrepancies and report issues.
*Maintain general ledger entries for property portfolios.
*Manage petty cash and property-related expenses.

Required Skills & Qualifications
*Understanding of bookkeeping principles, preferably in property management.
*Experience with payroll processing and PAYE regulations.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
*Experience with accounting software (Sage 200 desirable but not essential).
*Knowledge of property letting regulations is advantageous.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Good communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to handle confidential tenant and financial information responsibly.
