Job Description:
This fantastic Finance Assistant opportunity sits within a large, internationally operating media organisation supporting a diverse portfolio of content and intellectual property across multiple territories and platforms. The business operates at scale, with finance supporting a wide range of commercial activity within a fast-paced environment.


The thriving business is known for its progressive approach and strong commercial performance across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms.


This role requires a bright individual with 6–12 months’ accounting or finance experience ideally gained within a fast-moving environment. You will be looking to commence your accountancy qualifications and to further develop your skills and build a solid foundation to your finance career within a well-established global business

Responsibilities include:
*Support the processing and recording of digital and other revenue streams, ensuring contracts, statements and sales are accurately entered into internal systems in line with policy and deadlines
*Assist with the administration of royalties, including monthly processing, reconciliations and posting of accruals, working closely with the wider finance team
*Support month-end activities and respond to queries from territories, income providers and shared service teams
*Assist with invoicing activities, including raising sales invoices, coding purchase orders and monitoring invoices through to payment
*Provide support during budgeting and forecasting cycles and assist with simple ad hoc reporting and analysis
*Assist with audit requests and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
*Support process efficiency by identifying opportunities for improvement and providing general administrative support to the team as required






Candidate Requirements:
*6-12 months practical accounting and finance experience is essential, with a sound working knowledge of ledgers
*Good academics, preferably educated to degree level
*Early stages or looking for commence your studies towards a professional accountancy qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent)
*A passion to work within the media/entertainment industry
*Intermediate Excel skills
*Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
*Great presentation and communication skills
*Great attention to detail
*Self starter who can take initiative and will thrive in a fast paced environment
*Keen to learn, great team player and can take instruction
