Junior Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Tadworth
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – until 31 December 2026
Salary: £29,000 + benefits

We are seeking a motivated Junior Credit Risk Analyst to join a high-performing Credit Risk team supporting a major UK business portfolio. This fixed-term role is ideal for someone seeking hands-on exposure across underwriting, credit administration, reporting, and financial analysis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Credit Risk Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day management of the Major Business portfolio. You will work closely with Underwriting and Data Analytics teams, helping to ensure credit processes run smoothly and stakeholders receive timely, accurate information.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the day-to-day credit vetting process, ensuring credit limit requests are processed promptly.
*Oversee the credit risk inbox, prioritising and coordinating workloads.
*Administer aspects of the credit insurance policy, including limit reductions, withdrawals and quarterly policy requirements.
*Liaise with Sales teams to update contract statuses and ensure work is prioritised effectively.
*Maintain and audit the security portfolio, including identifying inactive customers and supporting monthly finance checks.
*Process all security documentation and manage refund procedures.
*Log and manage extended payment term requests.
*Underwrite SME-level exposures, with scope to increase underwriting authority over time.
*Prepare daily internal communications summarising financial and macroeconomic news.
*Create reports and insights for senior management and credit committee meetings.
*Work with the Data Analytics team to gather data for regulatory information requests.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*Good working knowledge of Excel
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
Desirable:
*Experience within Credit Risk and/or Collections
*Interest in macroeconomic and microeconomic trends
*Exposure to credit underwriting
