Geoenvironmental Engineer - Aberdeen
£30,000 - £40,000
An established and growing environmental and geotechnical consultancy is looking to recruit a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their Aberdeen team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of contaminated land, site investigation and remediation projects across Scotland and the wider UK.
You’ll be part of a supportive technical team, with exposure to projects from initial site walkovers through to detailed reporting and remediation support. The role offers a strong mix of office-based work and site experience, alongside clear opportunities for professional development.
The role will involve:
*Phase 1 desk studies and site walkovers
*Phase 2 intrusive ground investigations
*Soil, groundwater and gas sampling
*Factual and interpretative reporting
*Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
*Supporting remediation and validation works
To be considered, you will have:
*A degree in Geoenvironmental Science, Geology, Environmental Science or similar
*Experience working in a geoenvironmental or contaminated land role
*Understanding of UK contaminated land guidance and ground investigation practices
*Strong report writing and communication skills
*A full UK driving licence
*Must live within a commutable distance from Aberdeen office
